Scott Barrie

Scott Barrie joined Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. in November 2021 as Value Stream Leader for the Hillman operation.  Scott currently serves as Operation Leader over all 3 divisions within Wayne Wire, while also overseeing Hillman as the Plant Manager/Value Stream leader.  In these roles, he leads the day-to-day operations across Production, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and Continuous improvement.

Scott’s background spans manufacturing leadership roles ranging from Technical Sales and Production Supervisor to Director of Engineering. Throughout his career, he has approached each role with a focus on improving processes for both the customer and the associates producing the parts.

Scott is leader who likes to get involved, along with an improvement-oriented leadership style grounded in manufacturing operations.  His experience across supervisory and engineering roles supports balanced operational execution and technical problem-solving.

In his day-to-day work, Scott balances current production needs with continuous improvement initiatives and future project planning, including capital purchases. He has been part of efforts to implement a vision system in Hillman, lead Kaizen events in the Kalkaska inspection area, teaching 5S concepts to all levels of the organization, and supporting the addition of new customers in new markets.

Scott values Wayne Wire’s focus on being the best at manufacturing wire mesh filters and believes the organization’s legacy team members and can-do attitude differentiate it in the industry. He is motivated by future business opportunities, adding new team members, and introducing new technologies as the company continues to evolve and grow.
