Matthew Lawrence

Matt Lawrence joined Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. in September 2023 as IT Manager and has served in that role since. He is responsible for the company’s technology strategy and day-to-day IT operations supporting teams across all Wayne Wire locations.

Prior to joining Wayne Wire, Matt spent seven years in the hospitality industry before transitioning into IT, followed by more than 15 years in the IT department of a large manufacturing company. He also worked for a managed service provider, delivering IT services to small businesses, law enforcement, and local government organizations. This background shapes a customer-service-oriented approach to technology leadership.

Matt’s professional background spans infrastructure, networks, identity and access management, cybersecurity, end-user computing, telecommunications, and core business systems. His experience across internal IT and managed services environments informs a practical approach to building secure, reliable systems that support day-to-day operations.

In his current role, Matt balances strategic initiatives with operational support, including security improvements, modernization efforts, connectivity and collaboration projects, vendor coordination, and escalations that impact uptime or business-critical workflows. Since joining Wayne Wire, he has led the replacement of the legacy email system and supported the implementation of stronger system controls to improve the company’s information security posture.

He is motivated by continued modernization of systems to strengthen security, improve reliability, and better connect workflows across the business.
